Shit is getting real!
In today's video I will introduce you to the first pose and go through a little bit of theory of different energetic centers in our body. Basically in yoga, chi kung, and similar types of practices/philosophies, they state that everything is made out of energy. The densest form of energy is matter, our body in flesh and blood, and the most vague form is thought. In between these are all our qualities considering emotions, willpower, love, creativity etc.
You might already be familiar with these energy centers, chakras as they are called and maybe you think they are super cool, or maybe you think they are complete bogus. Either way, I don’t want you to be too concerned about the idea of them, I want you to start feel them. Especially when starting out, don’t try to explain to yourself too much, that this thing does this, and energy goes there and this is the effect. That will just put you inside your mind and out of your body which is exactly what we don’t want. The important thing is to feel what is happening when you are doing the pose. Then after finishing the pose you can feel the effects which will deepen gradually by time.
The first pose (asana) is all about stimulating the first energy center located in your pelvic floor.
The important thing is to stay in the pose for at least 2-3 minutes so you get the full benefits.
