As I skim through my social media feeds all I see is: Body hack. Fitness hack. Health hack. Mind hack. Productivity hack. Gym hack. Money hack. Hack hack. How to hack a hack with this brand new life hack.
Fuck a hack!!
I know, I have written about this social disease in the past, but I have a newfound discovery which serves to give you practical steps to take, in order to reconnect to your own power.
Be warned, that this post is going to be a little out of the box, but it is truth, and real to us. So please try to remain open to what I am sharing...
Why are we trying so desperately to get somewhere so quickly? We are already exactly where we need to be, but we have built a million ways to ensure we avoid it.
We are in a time where superficial growth is all the focus.
You want my hack? Well here it is: Take your shoes and socks off, leave your devices at home, and go somewhere in nature where you are secluded. A beach, a forest, a mountain. Somewhere you have nothing to focus on singularly. A time where you can expand focus and intention.
"But that is time wasting, and whats the point anyway?", I hear you say?
That is exactly why the person who feels like this, needs to follow my recommendation more than others do. And NEEDS to reconnect with nature.
Why do we need to be out in nature, and touching it? Because we are nature!
We are the same ebb and flow. The laws of nature govern our daily lives. We sleep with it. we rise with it. We relate to it and intertwine with it. This all happenes even if we refuse to acknowledge it.
Without it, we would cease to exist. It supports us entirely, but we have tossed our relationship with nature on the back burner. We act like a cold ex-boyfriend, pretending as if we no longer need its support.
For what? New apps, gadgets, machines, clothes, money, and avoidance.
If the idea of going into nature as a life practice does not appeal to you, or maybe you feel it is too hippy for you...then maybe this is your ego forcing you to avoid an opportunity to face yourself, and all your shit which you have so cunningly been avoiding, in a place where you can powerfully process through it.
Silence and having nothing to do, is this generations horror movie.
Imagine that movie. 90 minutes of homie sitting beside a lake, with nothing superficially to distract him. Terrifying huh?
Get into nature at every opportunity you have, as I have realised in my own life it is THE most important practice second to none, as it realigns, retunes, cleanses, and fills us up. It discharges all the static which fills us in our daily lives.
When everything in your life which you assume you need hits the fan and is gone, the deep innate power within nature is unmoving. It is still there. When everything you place upmost importance on, doesn't go to plan, or falls apart, nature is ready to welcome you back, and heal you physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. (I promise I'm not high right now)
For me, nature serves as a humble reminder, that we are not in control of anything, and we never will be, so why even bother. It reminds me how we are all interconnected and a part of the same flowing dynamic. The power that resides in nature is unparalleled with anything else in our lives. For me, it is a source of endless security, love, guidance, and inspiration.
You were not designed to spend your life on your smart phone, or stuck infront of your MacBook all day and night trying to be the next biggest digital nomad.(says the digital nomad)
Your hyper connected and externally driven life is FRYING you and burning you up.
We came here connected.
We got too ahead of ourselves, and we have gotten soooo disconnected.
Nature, and you synchronising with is, is THE MOST IMPORTANT THING. Even more important than meditating. Because most likely you are meditating in an environment that is energetically frazzling.
If you had to choose between meditating in your top floor apartment beside your wifi box, or taking a barefooted shit in the woods, followed by having a good cry....guess which one is going to make you feel better, happier, healthier, stronger, relaxed, and more connected? The extreme latter example of course.
I hope I have managed to drive this thought home via some crudeness.
In conclusion...I guess the message is to poop in the woods. Actually, wait...no, I mean, be in nature. Then, if you would like to, sure... poop in the woods.
And also, if you are chasing hacks and fixes in your life....wouldnt it be much better to go directly back to the source in order to fill you up, rather than a social construct which promises you happiness ?
We are made focus on everything other than reconnecting to ourselves in order to find happiness. You already have happiness. Its right under your nose, but society can't win if you don't feel the need to buy stuff.
Happiness isn't something you get from attaining. Happiness is something you get from being. Being connected.
To quote Snoop Dogg - “Fallin' back on that ass with a hellified gangsta' lean. Gettin' funky on the mic like a' old batch o' collard greens"
